Anything that is a “trend”, or fashionable, and aimed at millennials or Gen Z seems to me to be wasteful. How many bought “Chilli” water bottles when they were on trend and now have Stanley mugs. Both items will last forever, but both ultimately end up in landfill when they’re no longer “cool”? These kids are more wasteful than any previous generation, and yet they often claim to be concerned about the environment. None of it makes any sense.

For as long as I can remember we have paid for plastic bags in the netherlands For the piece of 3 plastic bags or so you can get a large grocery bag. These bags are often branded with store names. They are not pretty, but they are very useful. If you do your groceries by car, you always have at least one of these laying in your car. I have one near the front door of my home that I fill with cans and bottles that I need to take back (you get cashback when returning plastic bottles and / or cans). That way, I never forget my bags and cashback hahaha

I want to love Chacos Z2 because their customization options are insane and I like their minimal-ish look, but I actually hate the strap system. I could never get it to really feel right on my feet. Something was always too tight or too loose, and adjusting it was a PITA. But I also have some Chacos flip flops that I've been wearing for about 4 years I think, and they've been amazing. So I wanted another pair, but Chacos has totally changed up their flip flop lineup, and now I'm going to have to skip Chacos this time. For sandals, TEVA Terra Fi are the beeest. And they have a leather version so you can pretend you're a Roman soldier exploring the forest. They still have that geeky off-road sole, but they still look badass.

Here’s the thing. I own a handful of reusable cups, and the number one reason I don’t use it is because of the logistics. I get my coffee at the beginning of my 3 hour commute. 2 hours into my commute, I meet up with my carpool- I am not going to bring my now empty, dirty cup with me into someone else’s car, which means the cup will sit in my car all day. This leads to a gross cup full of melted coffee ice that has been sitting in the heat of my car for 10 hours by the time I get back to it. Not to mention that, odds are, I will forget to bring it into my house at the end of the day (I work full time plus 5-6 hours of commute- I’m exhausted). The odds are even lower that I will clean said gross cup. I will only realize my short comings when I arrive at the coffee shop the following morning with the choice of giving them a dirty cup (I would never) or getting a disposable cup. Ohhhh… and don’t get me started on how many of these travel mugs are near impossible to clean all the nooks and crannies (contigo- I’m looking at you).

On one hand, I don't think collecting high quality drinkware is necessarily a bad thing, but it's clear that this isn't normal collecting. This is a fad, and given time, will fade. On some level, I get it, I'm a collector of firearms. I don't need 30 different guns, but I have them, because I appreciate them for their mechanics and history, as well as their practical utility and the level of enjoyment they bring to me. But many of these so-called collectors aren't really collecting, they're making "investments" out of them, and creating a bubble that will burst.

As soon as I see those tic toc words flashing on the screen, I instantly block the channel. If I wanted to watch tictocs i would go to ticktoc. Channel blocked, no sub.

at the end of the day people go where they can get a bargain, especially if you live in a developing country like i do.

I just wore a cotton shirt to the gym, and to be honest, it wasn't as comfortable as Lululemon. It was soaking wet and made me feel really warm compared to wearing Lululemon. Another good thing about Lululemon is that their material is moisture-wicking, which dries out very fast so I don't feel cold afterwards. It's good material, it makes you look good, and they offer almost a lifetime quality guarantee. (Yes, it works! I just returned a pair of leggings that I wore for over 5 years, which had pilling, and they offered a $100 gift card. Talk about a satisfied customer here.) And because of that, I love going to the gym to see myself in better shape and in pretty colors. So...why not?

One thing i will say is that i can believe that the supply shit was like a matter of the demand grew faster than they anticipated and weren't really ready to scale production. However on the flip side as someone who lives in the uk, anecodotally the prime in the supermarket i worked was significantly discounted before being put on clearance for less than half of the price, and it still took ages to sell. Literally have a pair I have had for THIRTY years, and have only needed to have the uppers reglued a few years ago. Obviously I don't wear them daily (they would have fallen apart by now otherwise). I have other younger pairs and they are just as sturdy! I'm disappointed to hear about the buyout, but I guess everyone has a price.

You guys have access to most fruits in the world thanks to your unbalanced trade deals which allow you to make your own and fresh fruit water but no, you gotta buy a redundant bottle water just because of clever marketing. Smh, if you hate "plain water" so much and want to be hydrated and be healthy just slice some fruit into a blender full of water, blend it and boom. I probably have about 4-5 "reuseable" cups and I've found it's easiest for me to just brew tea at work in my one Grogu one I got at a Marshall's once. I keep my coffee drinking at home in my ceramic mug. This video honestly just reminded me how much I miss the days when a coffee shop was an actual hangout spot.

I am only familiar with Le Creuset's stoneware range, I and my father got a a set each of 2 trays and a pot, they all broke with the exception of my pot and thats only because I've never cooked with it, all the things that got cooked with developed cracks and broke, I replaced the small tray with a cheap ceramic one from ASDA that cost £1, which has lasted longer.

This on the go style of drinking coffee never caught up in my part of Europe. Drinking any hot beverage from plastic cup is disgusting, you don't drive everywhere here and drinking + walking is rather uncomfortable... especially when street is narrow and packed with people who are bumping into you AND every respectable company has an espresso machine (or rather several) with free coffee + zillion ceramic espresso cups on hand and a dishwasher next to it so you don't even have to wash that cup. You can see someone sometimes with bottom lip stuck to paper cup pretending they are enjoying their plastic tasting coffee on a bus stop but it is not fashionable at all... you want to hug these people and assure them that everything will get better for them one day and not emulate them.
